About Us

Welcome to the “phinest” pheasant hunting in the country!

We are located near Emery, SD (about 45 minutes west of Sioux Falls, SD or 25 minutes east of Mitchell, SD), where we offer a diverse array of pheasant hunting opportunities.  Our friendly professional guides will strategically position you in the mist of multiple flushes of wild South Dakota roosters; it’s up to you to shoot straight and put them ringnecks down!  For a unique, exclusive South Dakota pheasant hunt and a place to get away and relax with friends and family, come and visit us at A1 Al’s Pheasant Ranch.
All packages include lodging, meals, transportation, and an exciting professionally guided pheasant hunt.  We accommodate private and corporate parties of non-resident and resident hunters, all sizes of groups are welcome.  All hunts include the expertise of our professionally trained hunting dogs; and, at A1 Al’s, your dogs are welcome to come and hunt, too.  Kennels are available for guest hunting dogs.  Also, to warm up before the hunt, you can get the rust out of the barrels by shooting some sporting clays before you hit the fields. 

Land Available
A1 Al’s consists of over 4500 acres of “prime” pheasant habitat dedicated to providing you the best in exclusively guided wild pheasant hunts.  The hunting will be concentrated on a variety of CRP, native prairie land, food plots, corn, sorghum, sloughs, and shelter belts.  This habitat creates a plush environment for Ringneck Pheasants as well as excellent shooting conditions for even the most experienced wing-shooter.

Game Offered
Rifle Deer: 4 days hunting with 5 nights lodging, meals, guide, field dressing, and field transportation, for $3,500. This hunt is stand hunting in morning and evening and spotting and stalking in the afternoon. You can expect to see white tail in the 140 - 170 and mule deer in the 150 – 190 class. These tags are on a draw, and we have 90% success on the hunt.
Archery Deer: 5 day 6 nights, stand hunting in morning and evening and spotting and stalking in the afternoon. This package includes lodging, meals, guide, field dressing game and to and from field transportation for $2,500. Archery deer tags are guaranteed ($195) in South Dakota and you can shoot a mule deer or white tail.
Archery Antelope: 4 day 5 nights fully guided with lodging, blinds, transportation to and from the field, field dressing game and meals $1,950. This hunt has been 100% success in the past 4 years. Archery antelope tags are guaranteed ($195 for a single tag and $245 for a buck and doe, we let you shoot a doe for free) in South Dakota.
Unguided Archery Antelope: 4 day 4 nights, includes lodging, land and bail blinds. This package starts at $1,250, call for details. This hunt has been 100% opportunity with 90% success in the past 4 years. Archery antelope tags are guaranteed ($195 for a single tag and $245 for a buck and doe, we let you shoot a doe for free) in South Dakota.
Prairie Dog: $300 day includes lodging, continental breakfast, field lunch, dinner, transportation to and from field, guide, sand bags and shooting benches. $250 day includes lodging, benches and guiding. $225 day includes lodging and a guided hunt. $175 day includes guide, benches, bags and field lunch. $150 day includes guided prairie dog hunt. License fee is $40 and non shooting guests are $50 day. Camping spots with full hookups available fo $50 day. Call for details.

Lodging
Our hunting guests will be staying at a nice farm house lodge.  Lodging accommodations include a recreation room, full kitchen (where you can cook for yourselves or we will prepare a meal for you, depending on your preferences), washer and dryer, satellite TV – basically all of the comforts of home where you can relax and have a great time. 

Meals
The breakfast and evening meal will be at the lodge and the noon meal will be packed for you to enjoy during your  hunt. Economy hunters will find plenty of restaurants within a few miles drive.

Transportation
Courtesy airport pick-up and drop-off is provided for all of our guests arriving by air.  On the days of the hunt, we will provide transportation to take you to the field and bring you back to the lodge.  For our guests without their own vehicle or rental car, we will be glad to assist in making arrangements to accommodate your transportation needs.
