About Us

Castle Butte Lodge and Rusch Land and Cattle is located on the North Dakota / South Dakota border, on the site where Custer camped at Hiddenwood Creek during his 1874 Expedition to the Black Hills. Tom Rusch is happy to have you come enjoy there beautiful land.

Land Available

12,000 acres total with 9,000 in North Dakota and 3,000 in South Dakota. This land consists of creeks, corn, sorghum, milo, CRP, food plots, trees, grassland and shelter belts.

Game Offered

Pheasant: $175 person per day for land access

Bonus birds are Ducks, Sharp-tail Grouse, Prairie Chicken and Hungarian Partridge.
 
Archery Deer hunts available on limited basis, 5 day 6 nights includes lodging $1,000, bring your own stands. This is an unguided hunt.

Rifle Deer hunts available on limited basis, 4 day 5 nights includes lodging $1,500, this is an unguided hunt.

Call for availability.

Coyote hunting available, unguided $125 per person per day and includes lodging.
 
Prices are subject to change, depending on time of year and group size.

Lodging

Newly remodeled deluxe lodge, fully furnished to cook your own meals. $25 per person per night for lodging. 3 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room. Satellite TV, Gas Grill, Dog Kennel, bird cleaning station and freezer.

On your own, or Hettinger has some restaurants.

Transportation:

On your own, Bismarck is the closest airport
